Description
Y. recurvifolia – Y pendula – Weeping Yucca – This robust, tree like shrub, from southeast USA, grows 5-10’ feet tall and 4-8’ feet wide. It produces lance shaped stiffly leathery, mid to deep green leaves to 36” long, with smooth or slightly toothed edges, the leaves often bend and droop at the tips. Pendent, bell shaped creamy white flowers, up to 3½” long open in upright panicles, to 6’ long, from late summer to late autumn.
Outdoors, grow in any well-drained soil including poor sandy soil, in full sun. Remove spent flowering stems.
