Description

V. x juddii – Judd Viburnum – This rounded, bushy, deciduous shrub is a cross between V. bichiuense and V. carlesii and grows to 4-8’ tall and 5 feet wide. It produces oval, dull dark green leaves, to 2 ½” long, sometimes turning red in autumn. In mid and late spring it bears small, salverform, sweetly scented pink tinged white flowers, ¼” across, all held in spherical corymbs, to 3 ½” across. Flowers are useful for cut flowers.

Grow in any moderately fertile, moist but well drained soil in full sun or partial shade, most are drought tender. Where not hardy, shelter from cold drying winds. Most deciduous Viburnums tolerate hard pruning.
