Description

Darwin Hybrid Group (Division 4) – These single tulips grow 14-24″ tall, and bear ovoid flowers, to 3″ across are the result of hybridization either between cultivars of former Darwin Group with T. fosteriana or between other cultivars and botanical tulips which have the same habit and in which the wild plant is not evident, in brightly colored shades of yellow, pink, orange, or red, usually flushed, flamed, or edged with a different color, and often with contrasting bases. Mid or late season flowering, leaves are upright and 4-14″ long. Not to be confused with the old Darwin Tulips. Suitable for bedding and good cut flowers
