Rosemarinus – Rosemary –
From the Mediterranean region, this upright to rounded, dense, bushy aromatic, evergreen shrub, belongs to the mint family. It produces linear, leathery, dark green leaves, to 2″ long, white felted beneath. From early spring to summer and again in autumn it bears tubular 2 lipped blue flowers, 1/2″ inch long, from their upper leaf axils.
grow in well drained poor to moderately fertile soil in full sun
Prone to aerial blight, bacterial leaf spots, and several root rots, and white flies.
