P. longifolia – Longleaf Lungwort – This densely clump forming, rhizomatous, deciduous perennial from Western Europe, including Sweden and Britain grows 12″ tall and 18″ wide. It produces narrowly lance shaped, dark green leaves, to 18″ long, spotted silvery white. From late winter to late spring it bears dense cymes of funnel shaped clear blue flowers.
Grow in humus rich, fertile, moist but not waterlogged soil, in full or partial shade. Divide every 3-5 years.
