Matures in 40-45 days, leafs reach 12-18″ long, space 12-18″ inches apart and grows 12-18″ inches tall and wide
harvest leaves when 10″ long, picking outer leaves first, or cut entire plant to 3-4″ inch from the ground and allow the stub to sprout
B. juncea – Leaf Mustard – Brown Mustard – Indian Mustard – This cool season annual is a cross between B. rapa and B. nigra and grows 3-4′ feet tall and 18″ wide. It produces thin curled leaves, to 10″ long, and cannot withstand temperate above 85 degrees Fahrenheit. In spring it bears bright yellow flowers, to 1 ½” long, that develop into sickle shaped green seed pods which are used to flavor dishes.
Grow in fertile, well drained, ideally lime rich soil in full sun.

caterpillars, aphids, harlequin bugs, root maggots, nematode, cabbage white
butterfly, flea beetle, black leg, white rust, black leaf spot (Xanthomonas),
downy mildew, powdery mildew, damping off, white mold, clubroot, root knot
nematodes, Magnesium, boron, and potassium deficiency.
