x C. leylandii – Cupressus leylandii – Leyland Cypress – This dense, tapering, coniferous tree is a cross between Cupressus macrocarpa and Chamaeycyparis nootkatensis grows up to 120′ feet tall and 156′ feet wide. It has smooth bark, becoming stringy with age. It produces flat to slightly drooping sprays of pointed, dark green, gray tinged leaves. Bears dark brow female cones, to 3/4″ across, each with 8 scales.

Grow in any deep, well drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
