L. x intermedia – L. avandin – English Lavender – This vigorous, naturally occurring cross between L. angustifolia and L. latifolia grows 12-20″ tall and wide.It is a rounded shrub with branching stems that carry oblong to lance shaped to almost spoon shaped, aromatic, gray green leaves, 1 ½-2 ½” long, covered in fine, silvery gray hairs.In summer it bears spikes, 4-8″ long, of light blue to violet flowers.

Provence’ has mauve-pink flowers

Grow in moderately fertile, well drained soil in full sun.Will thrive in acidic and alkaline soils.
