Most are suitable for Zones 3-7. Very frost hardy, most like a cool to cold winter. They prefer full sun with shelter from strong winds, and well drained, fertile soil with plenty of organic matter. Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2-3 weeks. Tall cultivars may need staking.
