Description
I. reticulata – This Reticulata iris from the Caucasus, Northern and Eastern Turkey, Northeastern Iraq, and Northern Iran grows 4-6″ tall. It produces square sectioned leaves, ½-4″ long at flowering. In late winter and early spring, it bears a solitary, fragrant flowers, to 3″ across, varying from pale to deep violet-blue or reddish purple, with a yellow central ridge on each fall. Bulbs frequently split after blooming and may take some years to reach flowering size again.
