This fast growing, cool season salad greens plant needs humus rich, well drained soil but will tolerate a variety of conditions, in full sun or part shade. Plant in late winter for mid spring crop and again in late summer for an autumn crop. Tolerates some frost. Keep evenly moist.
Harvest outer leaves first when they’re 2-3″ inches long, leaving inner leaves for later dates. White flowers are edible too.
Prone to flea beetles, cabbage worms, downy mildew.
