Alyssoides –
There are 3 species of herbaceous perennials, which are similar to Alyssum, in this genus. Distinguished by a fat bladder like fruits. It derives from Southern and Western Asia where it grows in rocky places. Rarely cultivated, mostly grown by enthusiasts.
Alyssoides utriculata – This multi-branched short-lived shrubbery species from Southern Europe and Turkey is densely covered with leaves. Its blooms are yellow in spring and summer followed by decorative seedpods. It does well on dry bank in rock gardens and at the front borders.
