Acer pensylvanicum – Stripped Maple – Moosewood – Goosefoot – This deciduous tree has green and white stripped bark derives from moist woodlands of eastern north America grows 40’ feet tall and 30’ feet wide. It bears bright green 8” inch long forward pointing 3 lobes turning bright golden yellow in autumn. It also bears panicles 4-6” inch long of greenish yellow flowers. The common name Moosewood is because moose’s eat the bark. The 6” inch 2-4 lateral forward pointing triangular lobed leaves turn golden amber in autumn. Zones 4-8
