Description
Acer micranthum – Native to Japan this small tree or large shrub is deciduous with arching branches. On red young shoots it bares small 5 lobed deeply divided mid green leaves with serrated edges, which are 2-3” inches long. Produces pendent flowers arranged on a common stem of greenish white. Grows 30’ feet tall and 25’ feet wide. Turning yellow and red in autumn
