Description
Acer macrophyllum –Oregon Maple – Bigleaf Maple – Found in the wild in Western North America can reach 80’ feet tall and wide with a broadly dome shape. This deciduous tree has 8-12” inch wide 5 lobed glossy dark green leaves. Green yellow flowers hang in dense sprays followed by 3” inch long winged fruits, larger then most maples. In autumn the leaves turn gold and brown. It likes a moderate shelter position and deep moist soil.
