Description

Acer freemanii – Cross between Acer rubrum and O.M. Freeman raised Acer succharinum at the U.S. Arboretum in 1933. Cultivated for growth rate, autumn color, and their rounded- top habit. The leafs are usually 5 lobed and around 4” inches wide. Grows well in cooler temperature areas with adequate rainfall in fertile soil but well drained in sun or partial shade. For better fall color plant in acidic or neutral soil. zones 5-9
