Acer capillipes – Red Snakebark Maple – The bark is stripped pale gray and dull green with young red shoots carrying unfolding yellow, orange and crimson leaves in spring. The summertime green leaves have 3 lobes turning bright red in autumn. This fast grower is a deciduous tree from China and reaches a height of 30’ feet tall and wide and only lives 20-30 years. Likes sunny sheltered position and is easily grown from cuttings. Zones 5-9
