Pea enation mosaic virus Common name Pea enation mosaic virus Causal agent It consists of two viruses, namely pea enation mosaic virus 1, belonging to the genus enamovirus, and pea enation mosaic virus 2, belonging to the genus umbravirus. Symptoms & Signs The disease starts off as small yellow spots on the leaves that gradually turn white and finally create small holes in the leaves. The lower side of the leaves also shows blisters with small cracks, resulting in an overall crinkled appearance. In case of severe infection, the pods may be deformed. The virus slows down the growth and stunts the plant. Transmission It is spread to other plants by green aphids or pea aphids.
