Armeria maritime – Sea Thrift – Sea Pink – Common Thrift – This variable clump forming perennial form mountains and coastal regions in the Northern Hemisphere grows 4-8” tall and spreads to 8-12” wide. This species have been grown since 1578 and has linear dark green leaves 1 ½-5” long. From spring to summer atop of stiff stems to 8” long carry a profusion of white, pink, or red, red-purple flowers to 1” wide.
Grow these frost hardy plants in well-drained poor to moderately fertile dry soil in an open site in full sun. Divide in early spring.
