Pecan Rosette

Pecan rosette Common name Pecan rosette Causal agent Pecan rosette is caused by a nutritional deficiency of zinc. It hampers the normal growth of pecan plants, resulting in short, stunted growth with clustered foliage. Symptoms & Signs The first symptoms appear on the leaves as small, crinkled, mottled, and chlorotic leaves. In some cases, pecan nuts are also affected, producing fewer nuts of low quality. The tree produces several small branches which pull the foliage together, giving it a rosette appearance. The leaf may fail to develop completely due to zinc deficiency giving it a perforated look.
