Symptoms & Signs
It basically attacks and kills the roots of woody trees. The most common symptoms appearing above the ground include small, pale leaves with dieback and failure to produce flowers. Dead, decaying wood with fungal mycelium is also seen near the base of the plants, eventually causing the death of the plants. There is a strong mushroom smell near the plants, which is a major sign of honey fungus infection.
